Howdy all (Does anyone read these )

Thought I would do a bit of an update here as to what is happening in the world of StingRoll.

It's all About the Art Baby!!

Alright, I have finally bit the bullet and purchased myself a graphics tablet so I can do some of this digital art stuff that all the kids seem to be doing

So at the moment it is all practice, practice, practice until I can get the hang of it. I still plan to do most of my art the traditional way as I have an aversion to sitting in front of the computer for extended periods of time, it's bad enough I have to do that when I'm at work for 10-12 hours a day.

I think I will tend to use it to predominately colour my inked pictures or to turn a pencil sketch into a painting... all good in theory so hopefully I can get into the swing of things.

Since my last journal I have completed a couple of pictures, links below for anyone who hasn't had a gander (look at them now... StingRoll commands it).
I've finally finished my Batman picture, which is the first thing I did with my brand spanking new tablet and I also did a quick Spidey picture as I'm a Spider-Man fan from way back.

At the moment I am finishing up the pencils on a Ghost Rider picture to contribute to 's Character of the month for November.

I have so many ideas running through my head at the moment that I want to get down on paper but finding the time to actually do them is proving difficult.

dA News
Well I have been a happy little Deviant here for about 4 months now and I am absolutely hooked. Unlike a lot of other site communities I have found all the people here to be very friendly and very helpful, especially when it come to feedback on art or just general hints and tips.

I am really surprised at the amount of attention my page/ art has gotten over the journey so far.
So far I have had nearly 4,000 page views with over 11,000 views of my various deviations.
And crazily enough I have over 100 people watching me... there's no accounting for taste I suppose

In other news, my good dA friend stepped down as Founder of the Supremely cool group and has put me in the Founder chair, he basically set up what I think is a very cool group and I'm just hoping I don't make it implode, but we have just passed to 100 member mark

If you are not already a member I invite you to jump on board, it's a nice little community and as mentioned previously we do a Monthly Character Challenge to keep the artistic juices flowing.

I've done this before so there will probably be some people I have mentioned before and some that I haven't but all are people that I admire and respect either through their artworks or the support they have given me so far.
