Alright. This is the Ghost Rider picture I have been working on as a part of

's Character of the Month for November.
This was inspired by Clayton Crain's work on the Ghost Rider books through Marvel.
For those that are interested;
Sketch is here:
[link]Inked Version here:
[link]Basically this is my done by hand version, coloured with coloured pencils, I did give the background a quick touch up though as it was a bit dirty looking

Ghost Rider certainly was a challenge to do and I do plan to digitally colour the inked version at some point in the future, but probably not for a while yet.
And before anyone starts... I'm sure the motorbike isn't completely up to scratch... I have no idea about Motorbikes

Anyway, as per usual I am most interested to hear what everyone thinks

The bike itself is not on the same level as your ghost rider, but is still well done in its own right. I am especially impressed with the mysterious writing on the part under the handles. This "writing" shrinks to a nearly unmanageable size, and yet the coloring is still of good quality.
I also appreciate the color spectrum used in this piece - how it sticks to darker and earthy tones. This is completely appropriate for the atmosphere your created.
The one area that sticks out to me in a negative sense is the highlight in the form of a circle right where the orange writing is. The edges of this highlight seem to sharp and abrupt to create a smooth, natural transition from the color of the highlight to the pure black around.
Besides that, superb work!
I feel like once you were inspired, you just ran with it and was able to crank out this beauty. :]
Of course, we've seen some images like this before around: some sinister looking fellow riding a motorcycle... but the way you pulled it off is something I've never seen before. You obviously have the colored pencil technique down very well. I only feel like the motorcycle looks a bit unfinished in shading when put in contrast with the figure...
The flames and chains are rendered well and compliment the whole piece a lot.
My favorite part of this piece is probably how the shading on the shirt/vest/jacket is :]
I just feel like this piece is missing a definite light source though [but that may be because of the flames all around casting lights of their own...]
overall : really good job :]
now to go off and practice more of this "legit" critiquing that's not in comments ._. ... or something
*pretends that first venture was mildly successful*
